Kat Griefen is the co-owner and co-director of Accola Griefen in New York City. She was previously the Director of A.I.R. Gallery from 2006 until 2011. Exhibitions she has organized have been reviewed in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Art in America and ARTnews. Ms. Griefen has organized a number of special projects for art fairs including Works on Paper at the Armory and The Affordable Art Fair. She is a Senior Lecturer at Rutgers University through the Institute of Women and Art where she has been teaching since 2011. She has also lectured widely at institutions and conferences including The College Art Association, The American Studies Association, Portland State University, New York University and The Brooklyn Museum. Ms. Griefen is a National Committee Member for the Feminist Art Project and a member of Arttable. She has a B.A. in Women Studies and B.A. in Art History from Purchase College and an M.A. in Art History from Hunter College
