NYC – Monthly Meeting – December 2017

MEMBERS ONLY – (plus approved visitors who qualify for membership – see below*)  The Members’ meeting this month takes place on Tuesday, December 19th  from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Ivy Brown Gallery. Come a bit before the meeting, have a cup of coffee and take in Ivy’s new show – So do I – featuring Kenjiro Kitade.

This month, as has been our December tradition, we will have a topical roundtable discussion. We will be continuing our conversation about the ever changing world of online selling platforms. It will be facilitated by Susan Mumford and informed by the answers gleaned from AWAD members. (Members, please be on the lookout for a short survey in your inbox.) Afterwards please join us for lunch in the neighborhood to welcome in the holiday season.

AWAD welcomes a new Member: Elizabeth Rosso

SaraAWAD, the Association of Women Art Dealers, is pleased to announce a new Founding Member for our NYC Chapter, Elizabeth Rosso.

In 2011 Elizabeth Rosso opened her gallery where she collaborates with other galleries worldwide to provide a springboard for young emerging artist. Her Artspace exchanges creative ideas through partnerships with private curators and artists providing a platform for unique installations and art to be available and accessible to all.

AWAD’s NYC Chapter Meeting hosted by Mayson Gallery during Pop Up at 98 Orchard Street

This week both AWAD Chapters, NYC and London had their respective monthly Members’ meetings kindly hosted during exhibitions organised by Lisa Norris in London and Ronni Anderson in New YorkClick here for information on the AWAD London Chapter Meeting at the Lisa Norris Gallery.

Ronni Anderson who joined AWAD last month runs Mayson Gallery and her pop up exhibit at 98 Orchard Street, HEROES WANTED, closes today. Click here for more information. AWAD’s NYC Chapter is led by Susie Eley of Susan Eley Fine Art and Lisa Cooper of Elisa Contemporary Art who appear in the picture above next to Ronni Anderson, Julie Cottineau and her colleague Jean Carucci, and AWAD’s CEO Susan Mumford who was in New York for Armoury week.

Ronni Anderson is the director of Mayson Gallery. After several years in the New York art scene, in 2011 Ronni founded Mayson Gallery to bring a diverse excellence of artists, working in various mediums, to Manhattan’s contemporary art scene.
