ACCOLA GRIEFEN organised a talk and reception to celebrate the work of Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (one of whose works is shown here courtesy of Accola Griefen) on the occasion of the artist’s solo show at Princeton University. AWAD’s New York Gala at Site/106 during The Cynthia Corbett Gallery exhibition – NYC Chapter Launch!

On May 21st, AWAD, the Association of Women Art Dealers, successfully launched the NYC Chapter during an exhibition held at Site/106 by AWAD Founding member The Cynthia Corbett Gallery and in the presence of AWAD Founder and CEO Susan Johnson Mumford. The event was also co-hosted by Lisa Cooper and Susie Eley who have taken the role of co-leads of the NYC Chapter.

The launch event included a panel discussion, photographed in the picture above inc. left to right Susan Mumford (AWAD’s founder and CEO), Cynthia Corbett (gallerist, co-host), Hilary Jones-Danziger (interior designer), Ronnette Riley (architect) & Andréa Stanislav (artist). The event was also supported by AOC Fine Wines.

Following the gala, the AWAD NYC Chapter held its first official meeting on Friday 23d of May and has been since meeting once a month at Susie Eley‘s gallery. The next meeting, to which art dealers, gallerists and art advisors are invited, will take place on July 30th at 9.30am.
