The Association of Women Art Dealers and our partner for professional development, Be Smart About Art, is pleased to offer Using Your iPhone & iPad Like a Pro, to Get More Followers and Sell More Art! The workshop will be held on May 1st from 3:00 – 4:30 at the Susan Eley Fine Art Gallery on 46 90th Street, New York, New York.

We are all so used to pulling out our phones and tablets and just snapping away – whether they’re pictures of art, our pets, kids and dinner. Not all of those photo’s work for their intended purpose. Art business promotion and brand creation on social media platforms like instagram are now critical to success. Consequently, it’s increasingly  important for people to understand how to effectively use smartphones and tablets in art businesses today.

This information rich, practical and hands-on workshop led by photographer Chris E King will cover:

  • Tips on how pros use smartphones to snap and edit photos plus videos (including apps to use);
  • How to upload images and videos to social media / YouTube / other platforms;
  • Training to help you export images from your phone + back-up images so that you don’t lose them;
  • Trouble-shooting.

Oil & Water Gallery celebrates its first birthday with ‘London Lives’ (15 Oct – 2 Nov)

Oil & Water Gallery is celebrating its first birthday this month with ‘London Lives’ (15 Oct – 2 Nov). The private view takes place on  15th October (6.30 – 8.30). ‘London Lives’ brings together a tremendous collection of paintings, etchings and photographs of this wonderful city with works from the following artists: Rob Adams, Steve Alexander, Michael Alford, Austin Cole, Graham Davies, Pierre Engelbrecht, Sarah Fosse, Chris King, Jayson Lilley (whose work On Battersea Bridge is shown above courtesy of Oil & Water Gallery), Colin Michael, Paola Minekov, Venetia Norris, Eduard Palao, and Michael Wallner and Zoe Webster.
