Hedley'sHumpers logoIn February, AWAD’s London Chapter meeting was kindly hosted by the Lisa Norris Gallery and counted with Sarah Thelwall of MyCake.org as guest speaker. The meeting was followed by a very well attended AWAD Social , introduced by Sylvie Gormezano one of AWAD’s Founding Members and Member of the AWAD Board.

The AWAD Social was generously sponsored by Hedley’s, AWAD’s new Partner in the area of Shipping and Logistics. Click here to find out more about AWAD’s partners and contact details for Hedley’s. Hedley’s Pandora Mather-Lees shared some interesting art market facts and introduced the company services to AWAD Members and guests.

On April 1st, AWAD, the Association of Women Art Dealers, hosted the most popular Social evening of its history during a solo exhibition of artist Deborah Azzopardi presented by The Cynthia Corbett Gallery. AWAD Socials take place every quarter and they are open to all men and women working in the commercial arts. To attend future AWAD Socials, sign up to our newsletter via this page.

The event included an artist’s talk in conversation with art critic Estelle Lovatt and was sponsored by Brownhill Insurance, a partner of AWAD’s since the association was founded in 2009. As art lovers and collectors themselves Brownhill understand the importance of protecting artwork, whether as an artist, gallery or collector and have products that reflect this. For more information on art and insurance read this recent blogpost by Brownhills Stephen Canning.
