Virtual Reality in the Arts talk and demo @ Anise Gallery.

Tuesday, April 9th, 2019

Virtual Playground is a fun, interactive exhibition at Anise Gallery for the whole family which will run over the Easter Holidays. Allow your self to be transported back in time to the origins of gaming. Watch and play as we make a swift progression through the mediums timeline, as innovation, discovery and the foresight of John Carmack saw the turning point in the history of the gaming industry with the launch of the first Occulus headset.

Culminating in some of the latest interactive experiences, the evolution of virtual reality will be displayed in its various forms. Love it or hate it, it can’t be denied that VR is everywhere and we are only at the dawn of its emergence as a new medium. The possibilities are endless, the experience more powerful than any before – but will it last?

Please join us on the 24th of April 4:45pm – 6:00pm for Virtual Reality in the Arts talk and demo @ Anise Gallery.

1. Back it up

If you think its OK to store everything on one small USB stick that I can assure you it will be lost one day, you won’t have it on you when you need it or you will forget to back up to it the one time it really matters. You need cloud and a decent hard-drive. And if are still not backing up at all – yes, that means you – cancel whatever you were planning on doing next and get it sorted. Right now. (more…)
