KPK Contemporary Art was set up by Kristen Knupp in 2011 to represent international artists, mainly US and European contemporary artists. The gallery is focussed on painters and it currently represents eight artists and is growing. The art styles range from pure abstracts to dream-like landscapes. While many of the paintings are inspired by nature and the environment they represent a new interpretation of these themes. For more information, contact KPK Contemporary Art.

Marguerite Courtney is an award-winning photographer based in Los Angeles who recently won the Grand Prize of the Emerging Focus Competition at Photo LA. “Moments” is an ongoing body of work that will be exhibited in Europe for the first time in May 2012.

Using images to express the power and nature of surfing, Marguerite attempts to share her experience with the viewer: the surreal, the mystical and the ecstatic moments on and near the water that cannot be conveyed with words. Her goal is to transport you into each moment as she experiences it.

Her black and white grainy photographs have a timeless cinematic quality to them. They are printed in editions of 10.

Marguerite Courtney studied Photography and Painting at Santa Monica College from 2002 to 2006 and earned her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Virginia.
